Happy Independence Day!

I am sure everyone is getting busy with a fun holiday weekend. We have family home for a visit and plan to spend some time just relaxing, BBQing, watching Rachel play her trumpet in the parade, and of course, enjoying some terrific fireworks.

Here is one of my favorite layouts featuring some of my best photos from last 4th of July. We had a relatively new camera and got to try out the "fireworks" setting. I was pleased with the results!

The sunset over the bay was just perfect and adds to the setting for our exciting evening.

It was fun to capture the kids and their friends playing with sparklers before the big fireworks started to splash across the sky.

For the layout design, I used the pattern from our how-to book "Cherish" called Overture.

Project Supplies:
Stamps: July Word Puzzle
Paper: Blue Ribbon Level 2 kit
Inks: Outdoor Denim, Honey, and Cranberry
Embellishments: White Daisy Ricrac, Dimensional Elements Bookplates, Cranberry Bigger Brads, White Daisy Bigger Brads, and Outdoor Denim Bigger Brads
Tools: "Cherish" how-to book, sponge dauber, edge distresser, paper piercer, and Micro-Tip Scissors

I hope you preserve your precious memories from this holiday by creating your own special layout. Remember to snap some great photos of your family's fun!
