Today is the Last Chance to Enjoy Stampaganza 2009

Heads up, everyone! Today is the last day for you to get some terrific deals on those stamp sets on your wish list. That's right: Stampaganza ends today!

Contact me to place your order or you can go directly to my website and shop online at http://lovetostamp.myctmh.com/

Here is a another card from my Christmas card workshop featuring another of my new favorite stamp sets, D1384 Snow Flurries:

This first card features the following Project Supplies:
Stamp: D1384 Snow Flurries
Paper: Aspen Level 2 paper packet
Cardstock: Outdoor Denim and Colonial White
Inks: Twilight and Outdoor Denim
Embellishments: Dimensional Elements Flurry and Outdoor Denim Twill Ribbon Rounds
Tools: "Wishes" how-to book, Sponge Daubers, Micro-Tip Scissors, and Liquid Glass

This second card features the following Project Supplies:
Stamp: D1384 Snow Flurries
Paper: Aspen Level 2 paper packet
Cardstock: Outdoor Denim, Bamboo, and Colonial White
Inks: Crystal Blue and Outdoor Denim
Embellishments: Dimensional Elements Flurry and Outdoor Denim Twill Ribbon Rounds
Tools: "Wishes" how-to book, Micro-Tip Scissors, and Liquid Glass

This second card is more of a stunner in person because of the homemade glimmer mist I used on the chipboard snowflake. I mixed Create-A-Shade Pearl Paint with Twilight Re-inker and some water to custom color my snowflake piece.

On a personal note, we are still waiting for our regular dose of snow here. The Christmas parade over the weekend just seemed a little too early without any snow on the ground. However, our band was fabulous, snow or no snow!

Have a beautiful Monday all!

Sending Some Joy Your Way featuring "Just for the Holidays"

My current favorite stamp set from Close to My Heart that's so perfect for making your Christmas gift tags has to be: D1380 Just for the Holidays. You can see two versions of the Christmas card I designed and taught at my Christmas card workshop a couple of weeks ago:

In addition to D1380 Just for the Holidays stamp set, I used Jingle Creative Basics paper which comes with the coordinating Juniper Grosgrain Ribbon.

Isn't this such fun paper? This a card that you could easily make in a large quantity, but change up the sentiment to "Peace on Earth," "Warm Wishes," "Merry & Bright," "Happy Holiday," "Merry Christmas" using this great stamp set.

You can also make all your gift tags quickly and easily too with this cute combo of paper and stamps!

I hope everyone had a Thanksgiving day/weekend full of your own brand of joy!

"Snow" card: All Decked Out stamp set with Aspen paper

This is my second post for today. Tomorrow will find me much too busy to play.

So, in honor of my sweet girl's dreams of snow, I am posting this fun card made with snow in mind:

Things I love about this card include the homemade glimmer mist that I actually brushed on to get a blustery feeling of snow blowing about. You know how it is when those days hit! However, our snowman is keeping warm in his hat, ear muffs, and scarf! LOL Oh, I also added some Liquid Applique "snow" to the tops of the letters and also as the "fur" for our snowman's hat too. I heated the Liquid Applique with my heat tool to puff it up.

The glimmer mist can be prepared in a 2-oz spray bottle by adding filling it to 1/3 with Create-A-Shade Pearl Paint. Next add about 10 drops your choice of re-inker (I used Crystal Blue here), then add another 1/3 of plain water. Shake well and spray. Keep in mind the "overspray effect" too! I did not with my first project and my oak dining table is still glimmery! LOL

This card made was made with D1308 All Decked Out paired with one of my favorite paper packs, Aspen Level 2 kit. Fellow consultant Bren Yule started the trend of using the corduroy brads for ear muffs. Don't you just love that!

The "S" "N" and "W" are from the E1013 Field Trip Alphabet set.

This next card is a 5 x 7 card featuring some easy-peasy paper-piecing. Christine Adams posted a super cute card similar to this one I made. Thanks for the inspiration, Christine!

The inside of the card completes the sentiment "Have Yourself" with "a Merry Little Christmas." The sentiment comes from the set C1293 Wonderful Season.

So, with that thought in mind, enjoy the coming wintry weather or the change of seasons wherever you may be visiting from today.

If you are still planning to take advantage of Close to My Heart's Stampaganza promotion, you are welcome to shop from my website or you can e-mail at: LoveToStamp.myctmh.com or call me with your order too. I just sent out my last Stampaganza reminder newsletter today to those customers who are on my mailing list. Don't miss the extra special coupon in my newsletter good for these last few days of November!

I am thankful

Okay, so life has been unbelievably busy for me this month. I have been a bad blogger. Much, much too busy to blog. LOL However, I wanted to pause and reflect just a minute on what I am thankful for and I hope you can take a moment to do the same.

Top Five (or more) that I am Thankful for:

My family is healthy again.
My husband, my son, and I all have jobs and are able to pay our bills.
The kiddos are doing well in school and are happy.
Dear hubby just keeps being a wonderful man.
I get paid to make cards, scrapbook, and get together with my friends to do all of those fun things. Love CTMH!

My photo for today is from 2008. I was a vendor at this event again this month, but forgot to take photos! gasp! However, you can see we had fun last year and once again this year. Doe Camp was a fun treat!

"Joy" Gift Card Holder with CTMH Holiday Jingle stamp set and Evensong paper

This great little gift card holder is going to be a big hit this weekend as my make & take at my next vendor show. I hope you can stop by to make one with me.

This project features the stamp set, C1371 Holiday Jingle paired with Evensong paper and a Clear Sparkle for some twinkle.

We also made this project at my Christmas card workshop a couple of weeks ago. I was inspired by a fellow consultant who shared her great project on another board. Thanks to Karen Morris!

I hope you like it and are inspired to make one of your own too!

Wishing you a joy-filled day!

Male Bonding Layout with Expedition paper and My Stickease

My husband loves to go rafting with his buddies so I end up with great photos of various stages of "Male Bonding" to make more pages. For this particular trip, I used Serendipity (exclusive promotional paper) and Expedition paper and the matching Expedition My Stickease too. I stamped the "MALE" portion of the title using E1002 Rustic Alphabet stamp set. However, I stamped the letters using the stamp flipped over on the block and stamped on the back of the paper. Then came the cutting of these very-easy-to-cut letters. Voila! You can't even tell I stamped those beauties!

I hope you find a little inspiration to work on some manly layouts of your own.

Happy Opening Day!

Okay, so my hubby does not hunt. However, I am sure there are many whose hubbies are off sitting in a cold deer blind waiting for their 10-pointer. So, with that in mind, I am sending out "Happy Crafting" wishes to all those lucky "deer hunter widows" out there with a little quiet time on your hands today (one less "kid" in the house - LOL).

So, here is a card I made for my son's birthday last year with the stamp set due to retire at the end of this year: D1151 Off Road

The paper I used here is Rustic Trail, which retired at the end of 2008. I think Back Country paper or It's A Guy Thing paper would work great with this set too.

I colored my image with CTMH's watercolor pencils and our Blending Pen.

I hope it gets in the mood to do some of your own crafting today!

Heartfelt Christmas and That's Amore paper packet

Here are two versions of a card I included in my 3rd Annual Christmas Card workshop. Please share if you are a fan of the "Rudolph" version or the simpler version. Sure wish I had taken a pic of the Twinkle Brad nose from one of our cards. Now that was a shiny nose! LOL

The top card was the simpler, more elegant version. The second card not only includes the Rudolph brad nose, but some inking too. We used a sponge tool to ink the edges of our card base and other papers.

The colors featured include: Tulip, Chocolate, and Blush.

We did some random stamping of the snowflake images in Blush ink on the reindeer piece. The heart was stamped and cut out then adhered. The matted reindeer piece was placed with 3-D Foam squares to give dimension.

Don't you just love that Chocolate Polka Dot Organdy Ribbon!!! That was a hit!

Enjoy your day!

Jingle Title Topper Featuring CTMH's Posterboard Alpha & Holiday Trinkets Stamp Sets

I had such a great pleasure in meeting and teaching many lovely ladies at my Crop & Shop event in October. What you see here is the two versions of the free Make & Take I offered there. I was inspired by one of the layouts shown in the Autumn/Winter 2009 Idea Book. The title-toppers feature Jingle Level 2 paper, E1014 Posterboard Alphabet stamp set, and D1366 Holiday Trinkets stamp set. The embellishments shown include Clear Sparkles and Twinkle Brads.

We learned about first- and second-generation stamping, using sponges, sponge Texture Tools, edge distresser, and more.

I also taught a Great Cards class too. Please see my prior post for those projects.

The Memory Showcase Album workshop group was so terrific despite my slight lack of preparation! Thanks, ladies! If you click on the highlighted text, you can see my example for the 9" x 9" chipboard album we made.

I hope to see many of you again in April (or sooner!) at the next Shop & Crop or one of my workshops.

And, now for your super-de-dooper stamp special reminder:

Don't forget that Stampaganza is still going on through the month of November. The savings opportunities are just fabulous!!! For example, if you have 3 D-size stamp sets on your wish list, you can buy 2, and get the third one free, and then you also qualify for the Stamp of the Month at 25% off.

If you go ahead and purchase 4 D-size stamp sets, you will get 2 D-size stamps FREE and save 75% off the Stamp of the Month too!

Or, if you really want to put a dent in your wish list by purchasing 6 D-size stamp sets, you get 3 $22.95 stamp sets FREE and the Stamp of the Month FREE. That is a savings of $91.80 when you spend $137.70 (*shipping and tax not yet included) for a grand total percentage savings of 67% in FREE stamp sets for you!

You can purchase other size sets too, but the $22.95 sets are used in this example to keep it simple. However, you may purchase two $34.95 alphabet sets and get a $22.95 set free instead. This example makes you eligible for 50% off the Stamp of the Month too.

There is so many possible combinations of savings available for you to get your favorite stamp sets at such a nice savings, whether buying 2 C-sets and getting a B-set free, and so on...

My website: http://lovetostamp.myctmh.com is open for browsing and shopping day and night, so feel free to visit in your jammies! LOL Please let me know if I can help you figure out the best way to get the most from your shopping experience, whether for yourself, family, or your wife, etc.

"BOO" It's a Happy Haunting with Enchanted paper plus Spellbound and Field Trip Alphabet stamp sets

This evening I held my Enchanted Halloween workshop. We made 6 pages together. These are the last two left to post. You can browse my earlier post to get a look at our other four pages. Thanks for creating with me, ladies!

As you can see, we used Enchanted Level 2 paper, C1374 Spellbound stamp set, E1013 Field Trip Alphabet, Autumn Craft Buttons, and Black Waxy Flax. Some of the elements, such as the two pumpkins and the crow, are 3-D with the help of foam tape.

The two pumpkins were paper-pieced, which means I stamp the two pumpkins each twice; once in Garden Green and once in Autumn Terracotta. Next, I cut out the four pumpkins. On the Autumn Terracotta versions, I cut off the stems. On the Garden Green versions I only kept the top half of each pumpkin. I then adhered the Autumn Terracotta pumpkins on top of the Garden Green pumpkins, and "Voila!" We now have great little pumpkins.

We also added some depth to the pages with the help of Texture Tools and the sponge dauber to sponge some ink. You can see a close up of the night scene with Black, Smokey Plum, Sunflower, Autumn Terracotta, and Garden Green inks.

Great Cards Class with CTMH Grace, Twitterpated, and Sweet Home Paper and Stamps

Here are the fun cards I had the privilege to teach at the crop event a couple of weeks ago:

The students learned several great techniques with these fun 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 cards.

The first one features Grace paper with the Delightful Things stamp set (D1369). The middle card uses Twitterpated paper and the Many Thanks stamp set (D1371). The card shown on the right includes Sweet Home paper and the Welcome Home stamp set (D1370).

If you would like to book a Home Gathering soon, I would be happy to teach your favorite one of these fun cards to you and your friends.

Also, with the terrific STAMPAGANZA SALE happening in November, you could order two of the stamp sets featured on these cards and get the third set for FREE! How cool is that?

Happy Friday to everyone! I can't wait to scrap with friends tonight at my Enchanted Halloween Layout Workshop! Yeah!!!

Another CTMH Enchanted Halloween Layout To Inspire You

I'll bet you have lots of fun Halloween photos to scrap now that the kiddos have done their trick-or-treating (and you have sampled some of the loot). LOL

I love our Enchanted paper pack so much. Terrific color combination, in my opinion! Of course, if you know me, you know how much I adore purple.

These are the next two pages I am teaching at my Enchanted Halloween Workshop on November 6th. I hope you love it as much as I do.

This layout also uses the Enchanted Level 2 paper pack, Enchanted My Stickease, Black Grosgrain Ribbon, and Autumn Harvest Brads too. Let me know if you want to attend the workshop or get your own kit sent to you.

Happy scrapping!

Tri-Fold Shutter Card Featuring CTMH Aspen Level 2 & Snow Flurries

Ta da! Presenting my first attempt at the cool Tri-Fold Shutter card:

Not only did I learn how to make this fun, interactive card, I also learned a fun new technique. Using Pearl Paint, Twilight Re-inker, and some water in a small misting bottle, I was able to create my own glimmer mist. I used the mist to spray the chipboard Dimensional Element Flurries snowflake. Don't you just love it!!! I also added my new mist concoction to the two Heartfelt Wonder felt shapes on the right side of the card. Then I added a couple of the fun Twinkle glitter brads too.

If you want to learn how to make one yourself, plan to attend either my Jingle workshop on November 22nd or my Grace workshop on December 13th where I will spend a few minutes teaching this card to our group.

Contact me to register to attend either or both workshops soon.
