Close to My Heart March Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! We will be featuring March's Stamp of the Month, which is "A Little Everything," a set of 26 stamps.

If you have come here from Jody's Blog, you are on the right path! When you reach the end of my post you will continue hopping along from the link posted for you.

This month we have nearly 70 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's Stamp of the Month and other great Close to My Heart products on their blogs. Hopping along with us is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

For my card creation, I used the cardmaker's how-to recipe book, "Wishes" cardmaking how-to program and followed the pattern called, Sundial. The how-to programs from Close to My Heart are such great time-savers for me. The programs really do make my projects come together: "Faster. Simpler. Easier."

Project Supplies:
Stamps: D1408 A Little Everything, March's Stamp of the Month
B1341 Just Be You, the exclusive stamp set only available in the You Rock Workshop Kit
Paper: You Rock Level 2 paper packet
Cardstock: Goldrush CS, Indian Corn Blue CS, Olive CS, Smokey Plum CS, and White Daisy CS
Inks: Goldrush, Outdoor Denim, Olive, and Smokey Plum
Embellishments: Outdoor Denim Twill Ribbon and White Daisy Bigger Brads
Tools: "Wishes" how-to book, Micro-Tip Scissors, Paper Piercer, Glue Dots, 3-D Foam Tape, and various circle punches

To play off the tie-dyed look of the fun You Rock papers, I used the stamp rolling technique to create the variegated color you see with my "Thanks" sentiment and in the spiro-graph looking stamp in the center circle.

To do this you ink up your stamp in your lightest ink color first then in the next color you want, moving from lightest to darkest. You roll just the portion of the stamp you want each specific color. I was really pleased with the results I got using this technique.

For the stars seen behind the Thanks sentiment, I used the second-generation stamping technique to add some fun stars like the ones you see in the pattern paper.

From this image below, you can see all of the 26 stamp images including in this stamp set. As you can see, there are lots of great uses for this set! I just used the "Celebrate" sentiment for the title of my layout I made over the weekend. So many occasions represented in one stamp set that you can earn at a discount or even FREE! Ask me how!

Remember, the March stamp of the month is only available until March 31st! Contact your CTMH Consultant (or click here) to see how you can get this stamp set at a discount or even free!

When visiting my website: http://LovetoStamp.myctmh.com you can also find great Close to My Heart scrapbooking and stamping supplies anytime you want, 24/7.

Now "Hop" on over to Terrie's Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to see some great artwork!

The full list of everyone who will be participating this month and links to their blogs if you need help hopping along with us can be found in my prior post.

Thank you for hopping along with me!

Childhood Portrait stamp set paired with Notebook Level 2 Kit from CTMH

These pages were featured as part of a layout workshop I hosted.

I taught the ladies how to emboss the gold image from the Childhood Portrait (D1373) stamp set from Close to My Heart. It was fun to see that "aha" moment on their faces when the embossing powder transforms with the help of the trusty craft heater!

The title, "Happiness" was cut from a section of one of the B&T papers from the Notebook Level 2 paper pack. So simple!

Have a wonderful day, everyone!

"It's A Girl" Just Blooms 6x6 Card Featuring Textured Cardstock

Here is one of my favorite new baby cards I've made. I like how simple and bold the pattern is from our "Cherish" cardmaking how-to program.

The patterned paper shown is from the now-retired Sweet Pea paper kit. The card base is Hollyhock cardstock. The Baby Pink Textured Cardstock is shown as alternating squares with the gingham patterned paper. I sanded the cardstock to add interest and show off the texture of this fun cardstock.

Bee Mine Valentine

Well, I hope everyone isn't sick of seeing various Valentine projects in the blogging world. I am rarely ever an early bird with my creations. What I have up for today's post is the card I made for our baby, Rachel. Mind you, our baby is 15. LOL

I thought this 3x6 card design from the cardmaking how-to pattern book, "Wishes" was just right with the cute stamp set, Bee Mine. The two hearts were from the stamp set, C1403 In the month of February.

Project Supplies:
Stamp Set: W2017 Bee Mine and C1403 In the Month of February
Paper: Veranda Level 2 paper packet
Cardstock: Vanilla Cream, Cocoa, and Goldrush
Inks: Juniper, Garden Green, Creme Brulee, Tulip, and Cocoa
Markers: Creme Brulee
Embellishments: Garden Green Brads and Colonial White Crocheted Ribbon
Tools: "Wishes" how-to book, Blending Pen, Micro-Tip Scissors, Paper Piercer, Edge Distresser, Finishing Files, and 3-D Foam Tape

The stamp set featured with this card is a perk for being a member of my Hostess Club. Let me know if you would like to join.

Follow Your Heart

This is the Valentine's Day card I made for my lovely daughter, Rebekah. She loves the color green, so the new Veranda paper pack with its Juniper and Garden Green seemed like a good choice for my girl. I used one of Close to My Heart's cardmaking how-to programs and went with a 6x6 size, as you can see below:

Project Supplies:
Stamp Set: C1403 In the Month of February
Paper: Veranda Level 2 paper packet
Cardstock: Vanilla Cream, Cocoa, and Goldrush

Below, you can see the inside of this card too:

I hope everyone had a nice day with their families for Valentine's Day. We had a big day Saturday with a Murder Mystery dinner and Avatar 3-D. Sunday was rather low-key with some video-gaming. Hubby and I have an on-going battle on the Nintendo 64 system and the game, Dr. Mario. LOL

We also enjoyed a visit from our son, Adam, followed by another showing of "Star Trek" on our Blu-ray. What a great way to spend a day!

Scatter Sunshine Layout Featuring Textured Cardstock

With this month's "Hearts for Haiti" campaign going on I wanted to share this layout I did with a great group of ladies last November.

The beautiful paper featured is Close to My Heart's now retired Life Delights Level 2 kit. However, in keeping with the heavy distressing I wanted to showcase with these pages, I added in some luscious Chocolate Textured Cardstock.

I used lots of Chocolate ink to do some leathering to the base cardstock. Next, I added ink to the paper edges, Colonial White Craft Buttons, and the pink Just Blooms paper flower with a sponge dauber.

For the Chocolate Textured Cardstock, I used the sanding block from my distressing kit to make the white-core of the cardstock show in the texture of the photo mats.

Don't forget that you can click here, http://www.operationsmile.org/haiti/, to view updates on the efforts of Operation Smile in Haiti. Did you know that they are still dealing with aftershocks even one month later?
