May Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! We will be featuring May's Stamp of the Month, which is "D1421 Cherish the Moment," a set of 8 stamps.

If you have come here from Brae's Blog, you are on the right path! When you reach the end of my post you will continue hopping along from the link posted for you.

This month we have nearly 60 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's Stamp of the Month and other great Close to My Heart products on their blogs. Hopping along with us is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

For my card creation, I used the cardmaker's how-to recipe book, "Wishes" cardmaking how-to program and followed the pattern called, File Pocket. The how-to programs from Close to My Heart are such great time-savers for me. The programs really do make my projects come together: "Faster. Simpler. Easier."

Project Supplies:
Stamps: D1421 Cherish the Moment, May's Stamp of the Month
Paper: Zippidee Level 2 paper packet
Cardstock: Black CS, Colonial White CS, Desert Sand CS, and Indian Corn Blue CS
Inks: Bamboo, Black, Desert Sand, and Honey
Embellishments: Cranberry Grosgrain Ribbon, Fancy Fuzz, and Black Bitty Brads
Tools: "Wishes" how-to book, Micro-Tip Scissors, Paper Piercer, Embossing Stylus, our new 1 1/4" Circle Punch, Sanding Kit, and Sponges

You are going to love the new Fancy Fuzz and the great circle punch too!

I love distressing and had a good time with my sanding block and sponges to come up with this card.

From this image below, you can see all of the 8 stamp images included in this stamp set. As you can see, there are many great uses for this set! This set can be a nice addition to both your cardmaking and scrapbooking bag of tricks. In the month of May, you can earn at a discount or even FREE! Ask me how!

Remember, the May stamp of the month is only available until May 31st! Contact your CTMH Consultant (or click here) to see how you can get this stamp set at a discount or even free!

When visiting my website: http://LovetoStamp.myctmh.com you can also find great Close to My Heart scrapbooking and stamping supplies anytime you want, 24/7.

Close to My Heart Summer 2010 Idea Book New Product Blog Hop

I held my Scrap & Stamp Spring Fling this past weekend.  What a lot of fun we had!  Thanks to my crop guests!!!

As part of the fun Close to my Heart New Product Blog Hop I am sharing some of the sneak peeks my guests received over the weekend.

So, welcome to the New Product Blog Hop for our gorgeous Summer 2010 Idea Book! We have over 40 terrific Close to My Heart consultants who are joining in on the celebration of the upcoming release of the Summer 2010 Idea Book.  Your treat is that you get a preview of some of the great products available in the new Idea Book that you may order starting May 1st!

If you have come here from Carla's blog, you are on the right path!  To keep hopping along, click on the link at the end of my post to move along to the next blog hop participant.  Here we go!

Since Close to My Heart has a wonderful new Workshop Kit called Cherry-O that is so darn cute, I just had to make my Spring Fling with a cherry theme.  Even our menu included cherry treats, like Black Forest Trifle courtesy of my talented pampered chef and dear daughter, Rebekah.  She even endured her first set of stitches while catering my weekend of fun.  Bless her heart!

So, without further ado:

First, you can see my Make & Take card:

Next up is a prize bag:

Each cropper received a Goody Bag:

As well as a coordinating water bottle, complete with a cherry-flavored drink mix:

Each person who took the opportunity to create the Make & Take card with me also received this matchbook holder that held a Ghirardelli chocolate square inside. Yum!:

Now "Hop" on over to Amy's Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and see the pretty new papers, My Acrylix Stamp sets, embellishments, tools, and alterable items too!

Remember, the Summer 2010 Idea Book goes LIVE on May 1st!

Last Chance to Get Spring 2010 Workshop Kits for Caboodle, Topstitch, Veranda, and You Rock

Here is a heads up for you that the exclusive Workshops on the Go kits for the following packs are only available to order for 13 more days. I've loved creating great cards and layouts with these kits. If you haven't gotten a chance to get your kits yet, make sure you don't miss your chance.

*Also, this is my second post for today, so please scroll down to see four pages I made using the Veranda Workshops on the Go kit.

I have included for you the workshop kit images to see what you may be missing:

Caboodle Workshops on the Go kit projects:

Topstitch Workshops on the Go kit projects:
Veranda Workshops on the Go kit projects:

You Rock Workshops on the Go kit projects:

So, that's my reminder for today.  Make sure you get the kit you want before April 30th rolls around.

Have a wonderful weekend!  I am shocked that I saw hale tonight and it's down in the 30's here after having seen the thermometer in the 70's this week!  I guess that's a great excuse to stay warm and dry tomorrow and get some scrapping done!  LOL

*Oh, and remember to scoll down to see my post from earlier today that includes four pages using some pretty Veranda paper and coordinating My Stickease and embellishments.

Veranda Layouts Including Veranda My Stickease

The following two two-page layouts were part of the layouts I taught at my Veranda Workshop on the Go. I have to say I really enjoy working with the Veranda supplies. They lend themselves to distressing which is my favorite thing to do to my pages.

These second two pages include the very pretty My Stickease from the Level 2 package.  I did some sponging as well as some sanding with my sanding block.

Oh, I love that Creme Brulee grograin ribbon too!

I hope you are enjoying a crafty kind of day today!

You Rock Cards and Bookmark

Here are some cards and a bookmark I made for my contribution to my standing swap group with some terrific fellow consultants.

Each new Idea Book release, we each do pieces from one paper pack using a few new stamp sets. As you can see here I chose to do my samples with the fun new You Rock papers and coordinating stamp sets. I also did a card with the March Stamp of the Month as well.

The first card is one of the cards you will find from the WOTG kit cards. I am teaching this workshop on May 15th. The bookmark is a Gathering project. The 6x6 card is shown below in two views; the second image shows the card with the band removed.

If you would like to know more about these projects, feel free to send me an e-mail to:
lovetostamp@myctmh.com

Thank you for visiting today. Have a super weekend! It looks like a sunny Saturday is in store for us here.

Veranda Layout with My Stickease: So Blessed

Sorry to leave you hanging for a few days. I have really been enjoying Easter and spring break too, in between working, that is.

I have a layout for you, Trina. I know you've been stalking this blog waiting to see if I got it done. No pics, but you get the idea.

I used the Reflections scrapbooking how-to program as my recipe book for these two page layouts. The stamping of the vines comes from this month's stamp of the month, Flower Pot. I thought it worked really well with this paper.

I did some edge distressing to my cardstock edges. Ink was applied to the edges of the patterned papers as well as to the edges of the My Stickease stickers. I really like all of the added dimension I was able to get just by using these simple and fun techniques.

We had a really nice Easter too, minus our son, David. We get to see him soon though.

Here are a couple of pics that witness to our festivities:

The eggs were fun to dye and decorate, and even Grandma Mary joined in with the coloring. She may have even colored the most eggs! But that wasn't enough fun for Grandma! She joined in the egg hunt on Easter morning too! She seemed even more eager to hunt than the grandkids did!

After the hunt was over our motley crew showed off they discoveries.

We had the great pleasure of meeting Adam's new girlfriend and her sweet Shiranian puppy. I got lots of love from this petite little furball.

Brand new kites were an Easter surprise and the windy weather lead to some serious kite-flying competition! However, a certain lady bug kite really stole the show:

Whew, so glad to catch up with you all! What have you been up to?
