Check it out!

This is a quick post to give a big shout out to my good friend, former customer, and now my downline through Close to My Heart, Casandra Bennett. She has the great honor of having some of her fun artwork featured on the blog of Jeanette Lynton, CEO of Close to My Heart.

I've been featuring some of my recent layouts this month using the Moonlight paper pack, which was also used to create the display tray home decor item shown above.  Casandra created some super cute cards using the Moonlight paper pack, which some might see as solely a Halloween-type paper. Casandra had other plans though.

You can check it out on Jeanette's blog post

"Scaring Up Some Fun" with Moonlight from Close to My Heart

This is my fourth layout made from my Moonlight Workshops on the Go Kit from CTMH. I only needed to add four additional sheets of cardstock for bases in order to get all four of my fun two-page layouts made and I still have lots of paper left to create more great stuff!

Here is my "Scaring Up Some Fun" layout:
Project Supplies:
Paper:  X7161B Moonlight paper packet in G1051 Moonlight Workshops on the Go Kit
Cardstock:  Slate
Inks:  Black
Embellishments:  X7161C Moonlight Complements Dimensional Elements, Bitty Sparkles from the Z1754 Black and Grey Sparkles Assortment, and the super sparkly Z1799 Silver Shimmer Trim (which is adhesive-backed and AWESOME!)
Tools: 9035 "Make It From Your Heart" how-to pattern book (for both layouts and cards), Z1790 Cricut Artiste Cartridge Collection, Micro-Tip Scissors, Piercing Tool, Sponge Dauber, and Glue Dots

For these last two pages I had fun using pattern 07 from the "Make It From Your Heart" how-to publication from Close to My Heart.  I changed up the pattern to just a small extent to incorporate some additional bling and to use the super fun 1/2" zip strips from my B&T papers.  Of course I had to incorporate more of the spooky Moonlight Complements Dimensional Elements too.  Even after using what I have on my layouts #3 and #4, I still have a TON of chipboard pieces to use on more projects!  Yahoo!  (Now, that's not to say that I haven't already ordered several packages of those little goodies to keep in my stash!  LOL)

Did you notice the headstone and the spider on my right-hand page?  Those beauties come from my Cricut Artiste Cartridge, which is a cartridge exclusively available from Close to My Heart.

You can also see more images from my Artiste Cartridge in my photo below of my helper and my other fun projects I have been creating with my Moonlight papers and coordinating stamps:

The coffin, the milk carton, the cupcake liners, the round box, and all of the label shapes are from the Cricut Artiste cartridge.  You can get yours by heading to my website at:  http://lovetostamp.ctmh.com

Have yourself a spook-tacular kind of day!

Moonlight Workshops on the Go Layout #3

One of the many things I really about the Workshops on the Go Kits from Close to My Heart is the amazing amount of projects that you can get from your kit of supplies. For me I can add a few sheets of cardstock for bases and create at least 8 pages from my workshop kit. Plus, I will still have plenty of paper (and a really cute exclusive stamp set) to make cards or other bonus projects.

Now on to my third layout made from my kit.

Project Supplies:
Paper:  X7161B Moonlight paper packet in G1051 Moonlight Workshops on the Go Kit
Cardstock:  Black and Slate
Inks:  Black
Embellishments:  X7161C Moonlight Complements Dimensional Elements and Black Sparkles from Z1754 Black and Grey Sparkles Assortment
Tools: Autumn/Winter Idea Book, p. 56 "A Haunted Halloween" Moonlight layout, "Reflections" how-to scrapbooking guide, Micro-Tip Scissors, Piercing Tool, Sponge Dauber, and Glue Dots

I found my inspiration straight out of the pages of Close to My Heart's Autumn/Winter 2012 Idea Book.  This layout is featured on page 56.  I only made two very small changes to stretch my supplies a tad farther.  While there is no stamping needed this layout still packs a tremendous punch due to the addition of the fabulous Moonlight Complements Dimensional Elements.  They are gorgeous and made to such a high quality.  You will love them!  I did use my Black Ink Pad and my Sponge Dauber to add some ink to the edges of all of my papers.  I love to get inky!  LOL

Place your order for your own Moonlight Workshops on the Go supplies on my website at:  http://lovetostamp.ctmh.com   Don't forget to add on X7161C Moonlight Complements Dimensional Elements.

Tomorrow's post will feature more of those fun chipboard embellishments.

CTMH Moonlight Workshops on the Go Layout #2

Here is the next post in my installment featuring the Moonlight Workshops on the Go Kit from Close to My Heart. This is the layout made from supplies left after the pages you see posted in my previous post. I entitled my layout, "my sweet pumpkin."

Project Supplies:
Stamps: C1512 Moonlight Scrapbooking Workshop stamp set and E1021 Trinity Alphabet
Paper:  X7161B Moonlight paper packet in G1051 Moonlight Workshops on the Go Kit
Cardstock:  Colonial White, Goldrush, and Slate
Inks:  Black, Goldrush, and Smokey Plum
Embellishments:  Epoxy Badge Buttons from the Z1741 Haunted Assortment and Grey and Clear Sparkles from Z1754 Black and Grey Sparkles Assortment
Tools: Moonlight Workshops on the Go exclusive instructional brochure & supplements found here on my website, "Magic" how-to scrapbooking guide, Micro-Tip Scissors, Piercing Tool, Sponge Dauber, 3-D Foam Tape, and Glue Dots

With these pages you can get more practice with the stamp swiping technique as you can see with my "my sweet pumpkin" title.  You get to make some "faux paper bows" from the 1/2" polka zip strips.  There is also some masking and some paper piecing going on too on the right hand page with the owl sitting on the fence.  The pretty swirl element on the Goldrush cardstock is made with a small swirl stamp that you stamp multiple times.

CTMH Moonlight Layout #1

Order your own workshop kit:  http://lovetostamp.ctmh.com
While yesterday was World Card Making Day, I spent my day with paper and stamps, but instead of cards, I created four two-page layouts using the gorgeous Moonlight Workshops on the Go kit from Close to My Heart. I will be posting those pages over the next several days.

Here is the main layout featured in the Moonlight workshop kit how-to brochure:
Project Supplies:
Stamps: C1512 Moonlight Scrapbooking Workshop stamp set, B1413 Perfect Fit - Halloween, and E1021 Trinity Alphabet
Paper:  X7161B Moonlight paper packet in G1051 Moonlight Workshops on the Go Kit
Cardstock:  Black, Goldrush, Smokey Plum, and Slate
Inks:  Black, Goldrush, and Smokey Plum
Embellishments:  Skull Brads from the Z1741 Haunted Assortment and Black and Clear Sparkles from Z1754 Black and Grey Sparkles Assortment
Tools: Moonlight Workshops on the Go exclusive instructional brochure, Micro-Tip Scissors, Piercing Tool, Sponge Dauber, 3-D Foam Tape, and Glue Dots

This workshop features the fun stamp swiping technique as you can see evidenced on the "boo" title.  There is also some paper piecing going on too on the right hand page with the spooky lamp post.  Also, check out the addition of the bitty sparkles for the eyes of the little spider and in the skull brads too.

I can't forget to add a quick photo of my own little helper:
