CTMH Cricut Artiste Ornament Cards

I am in the mood for a little more snow today and I thought a flashblack to these cards that I created as part of my Christmas Card Workshop would help fit the bill. I was thrilled to be able to use my Cricut Artiste cartridge to cut the ornaments for my cards. It was such a timesaver!

These cards are created with Colonial White cardstock from Close to My Heart for both the card bases and the Cricut-cut ornaments.  The ornaments are then stamped with the stamp from the October Stamp of the Month:  A Very Merry Christmas.  I also used the flourish from the Love Life stamp set.  I just love our silver shimmer tape and so that was paired with some grey Baker's twine.  I blinged things up just a wee bit more with some clear sparkles and some Stardust Glitz Glitter Gel.

I hope you are enjoying a lovely day.  I am so glad you dropped by.  Please come again!

Close to My Heart Spring/Summer 2013 Idea Book Sneak Peeks

I have two fun cards to share today. These were make & takes at my crop last weekend.

This first one is a standard card that I created using stamps from our "Whooo's Your Valentine" kit.  The supply is getting dangerously low for the kit, so if you haven't ordered yours yet, don't delay!  I paired the stamps with the new "Chantilly" paper pack, black shimmer tape, and black glitter buttons for a quick, simple, but lovely (IMHO) card:

My second creation is also a standard card.  I used the same "Whooo's Your Valentine" stamp set from this month's special kit.  This time around I paired the adorable owls with the new, elegant "For Always" paper pack, silver glitter paper, black shimmer tape, Durables Artisan studs, and hemp Baker's twine:

These fun new products will be available on February 1st directly from my shopping site:

Remember that if you still need to purchase your "Whooo's Your Valentine" kit, do it today!

You will get this adorable stamp set:

Owl Be Home for Christmas featuring Whooo's Your Valentine

Here is a peek at one of the cards I made for our friends and family this year as part of my assortment of Christmas cards. This one may be my favorite as it features one of the irresistible owls from the "Whooo's Your Valentine" kit stamp set. This is the stamp set that comes with your kit:
My hubby has spent a good portion of the last few months on the road for work whether it was four hours away from home or all the way in Hong Kong.  The last two weeks before Christmas found him in Hong Kong and that lead to my inspiration for this cute and simple little card.  Here is the card I came up with:
Project Supplies:
Stamps: National Papercrafting Month kit: D1548 "Whooo's Your Valentine" plus E1021 Trinity Alphabet, C1510 Merry & Bright, D1480 Snowflakes, and C1479 Holiday Commentary (retired set)
Cardstock:  Colonial White
Inks:  Cranberry, Olive, Outdoor Denim, Saddle, Smokey Plum, and Twilight
Embellishments:  Z1769  Almond Glitz Glitter Gel, Z1484 Red Glitz Glitter Gel, and Z1313 Stardust Glitz Glitter Gel
Tools: Z1783 SureCut Deluxe Craft Trimmer and Z1204 Bone Folder

This card tickled my funny bone AND it really fit the bill for being easy to mail as well.  I hope you like it!

Make sure to get your own "Whooo's Your Valentine" kit special soon as it is available while supplies last:

Here's to a fantastic start to your 2013!  Thanks for stopping by!
